Melanie Rogan

Melanie Rogan is an accomplished software engineer with a passion for supporting the LGBTQ+ community. She is of Irish and European descent and enjoys singing and indulging in pale ale. Melanie obtained her A-level equivalent Leaving Certificate from Kylemore Abbey International Boarding School before earning a BA Hons in Graphic Design from London Metropolitan University with first-class honors. She later pursued a Master of Arts degree in History of Art and Architecture and Ancient History and Archaeology at Trinity College Dublin.

Melanie has worked in various organizations, including Alchemy Worx, Zurich Insurance plc, J.V. Tierney & Co, and the Financial Times. At the Financial Times, Melanie served as a junior and HTML developer, a production executive, and a CRM Manager with creative and technical expertise. She was also a Co-Lead of the company's #ProudFT group, where she supported and advocated for the LGBTQ+ community.

Melanie's diverse background in design, art history, and technology has adequately prepared her for her role as a software engineer. She remains committed to advancing her skills while supporting her community.
