    With an extensive educational background, Melanie holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Communication from Rutgers University, a Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from Kent State University, a Master of Social Work from Yeshiva University, and a BA in psychology and art history from New York University.

    Melanie has been associated with various organizations including Rutgers University School of Communication and Information, Chai Lifeline, MSK Communications, Inc., Gilbert, Whitney & Johns, Pezzano + Company, Ruder, and Orthodox Union in roles ranging from PHD Candidate to Director of Public Affairs.

    Her research interests include exploring the impact of certification organizations on conferring legitimacy upon both corporations and activists advocating for marginalized workers and producers.
