Melanie Kotler, an accomplished senior counsel with extensive experience in large international law firms and scaling organizations, is a community-driven policy analyst and communicator. With a J.D. degree from New York Law School and a B.A. in Psychology from Northwestern University, she has a proven track record executing highly complex and significant legal work.
Kotler has served as an Assistant Vice President, Legal Counsel at DBRS Morningstar and spent time as Legal Counsel and Associate Director of Strategic Facilities at Zeta Charter Schools, a growing institution focusing on innovative education. Before that, she was the Assistant Vice President for Policy and Regulatory Affairs at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, managing large-scale project planning and implementation. She also worked as a Financial Restructuring Senior Associate at Milbank LLP and as an M&A and Bankruptcy & Restructuring Associate at O'Melveny & Myers LLP and Norton Rose Fulbright.
