Mel Herrera is an accomplished civil engineer with extensive experience in various capital improvement projects across multiple states in the US. As President for ECM International, he oversees staffing, business development, and the implementation of training and mentoring programs for the company. With a portfolio that includes institutions like El Paso International Airport, Sun Metro, and K-12 school districts, he has established himself as a respected figure in the field. His background includes working as a design engineer for various water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as serving as a construction manager for multiple industrial buildings. Herrera is a member of the Project Management Institute, the Construction Management Association of America, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the US Green Building Council, demonstrating his expertise in these technical areas. He has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
