Mehmet Vurkaç
Assistant Professor at Seattle University
Mehmet Vurkaç is an experienced professor and researcher in computational intelligence, electrical & computer engineering, and math-physics from Seattle University and the Oregon Institute of Technology. He holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. from Portland State University and a B.A. from Whitman College. In addition to teaching, Mehmet is a former hardware engineer at Roland Corp. and NEC America, Inc.
Mehmet is a bringer-together of people and ideas who is passionate about simplifying and explaining complex concepts and mechanisms. He explores the boundaries where the precise becomes fuzzy and the fuzzy becomes precise. As an assistant professor at Seattle University, Mehmet continues to mentor students and drive research while lecturing to a diverse range of audiences from different backgrounds.
