Meghan Lewis

Meghan Lewis is the Founder and Executive Director of the LGBTQ Perinatal Wellness Center in Oakland, California. She holds a PhD from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, specializing in perinatal psychology and somatic wellness. With over twenty years of experience, Dr. Lewis provides support for individuals navigating preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting challenges.1
In addition to her academic credentials, she is a certified birth doula and has training in various therapeutic modalities, including acupressure and Reiki. Dr. Lewis has also studied midwifery and has worked in several reproductive health settings, including Planned Parenthood and various birth support organizations.1 Her work focuses on creating inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ families, recognizing the unique challenges they face in perinatal care.
Dr. Lewis has contributed to various publications and is actively involved in community service, including serving on the Board of Directors for the California League of Cities LGBTQ+ Leadership Education Institute. She is also editing an anthology titled In the Family Way: Unique Accounts of LGBTQ Conceptions and Birth.1
