Megan Johnson
Instructional Designer at State of Tennessee
Megan Johnson, MA, ACC, APTD, specializes in coaching, speaking, and training/development to enhance communication, performance, conflict management, and public speaking skills for individuals, teams, and leaders. She focuses on improving self-awareness to foster better relationships, performance, confidence, and reduce bias. Megan is passionate about intercultural and interpersonal communication, team dynamics, conflict resolution, unconscious bias, public speaking, and confidence building.
Megan holds a Master's degree in Organizational and Multicultural Communication from DePaul University. She has a diverse professional background that spans across various roles in instructional design, coaching, training, and teaching at multiple academic institutions and consulting firms.
Currently working as an Instructional Designer at the State of Tennessee, Megan has previously held roles as a Trainer, Coach, and Speaker at JMJ Communication Group, Instructor at Motlow State Community College, and VA at Greatheart Consulting. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor at several institutions including Middle Tennessee State University, Tennessee State University, Volunteer State Community College, among others. Megan has extensive experience as a Consultant focusing on cultural competence and patient/provider communication at CulturaLink and as a Research Assistant/Project Manager at the American Medical Association.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Megan finds joy in music and is a member of an indie pop/rock band called Scale Model, where she enjoys singing and playing instruments.
