Megan Cousino

Megan Cousino is an experienced professional currently serving as the Administrative Coordinator at the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (VT DEC). She began her career there in November 2016 after graduating from Middlebury College in 2016 with a degree in environmental studies and geography. Her commitment to environmental conservation led her to pursue further education, culminating in a Master of Environmental Law and Policy (MELP) from Vermont Law School, which she completed with distinction in October 2020.12

In her role at VT DEC, Megan has made significant contributions, particularly as the Environmental Program Manager for the Environmental Assistance Office (EAO), a position she assumed in October 2021. Under her leadership, the EAO expanded from four to ten staff members and developed new sections focused on improving access to environmental assistance for underserved communities. This includes managing initiatives that distribute funding to low-income homeowners facing water infrastructure challenges.12
