Meera Sooda
NIH IRTA Fellow - Framingham Heart Study at National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute
Meera Sooda is a dedicated BA/MHS student at the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering at JHSPH with a background in Public Health and Social Policy from Johns Hopkins University.
With a keen interest in urban health disparities, community health, housing equity, and access to parks/green space, Meera has engaged in various roles to further her expertise and contribute to the field of public health.
Her educational journey includes a Master's degree in Environmental Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, a degree in Public Health and Social Policy from The Johns Hopkins University, and her high school education at London High School.
Meera has honed her skills and knowledge through experiences such as being an NIH IRTA Fellow at the Framingham Heart Study under the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
She has also contributed as a Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative (CAHMI) at JHSPH.
Meera's passion for public health has led her to roles such as Marketing Intern at The Johns Hopkins University and Outreach Intern at Fund for Global Health. Her diverse background showcases a commitment to making a positive impact on health disparities and community well-being.
