Meaghan Brosnan

Meaghan Brosnan is a seasoned professional in fisheries management with over 15 years of experience, specializing in compliance and enforcement.

Starting as a Federal law enforcement officer in the U.S. Coast Guard, Meaghan's career progressed to Deputy Chief of the Coast Guard's Living Marine Resource Enforcement Program, where she oversaw critical initiatives in the Eastern Pacific and Alaska.

She has diverse experience, including advocacy work with The Pew Charitable Trusts on the Ending Illegal Fishing campaign, focusing on combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing practices in coastal Africa and the Pacific region.

Currently, Meaghan serves in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, leading a department in the San Francisco Bay area. Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and a Master's in Marine Affairs from the University of Washington's School of Marine Affairs.

Throughout her career, Meaghan has held key roles in various organizations such as WildAid as Marine Program Director, Exulans as Managing Director and Founder, and The Pew Charitable Trusts as Manager for the Ending Illegal Fishing Project.
