Maxwell Johnson is a member of the Young Leaders Advisory Council (YLAC) at California Forward, representing Sacramento.12 He is passionate about advocacy, particularly in the areas of higher education and workforce development.4 Maxwell earned his BA in Political Science and Communication from San Diego State University, where he was actively involved in student government and leadership roles.1
Currently, Maxwell is pursuing a PhD in Bioengineering at UC Berkeley and UCSF.3 His diverse background spans across clinical, pharmaceutical, academic, and startup sectors.3 During his time at San Diego State University, Maxwell served as the Chief of Staff for the Associate Student organization and as the President of Rotaract of SDSU.1
