Maximilian Schmeiser is a distinguished data science executive with a strong background in building and leading large data science, machine learning, and economics teams.

Currently serving as the Head of Data Science at Twitter, Maximilian has a rich professional history that includes leading the Data Science team at Convoy Inc. and holding various leadership roles at Amazon.com, including Head of Research, Analytics, and Machine Learning in Amazon Connections, and Sr. Manager, Economics and Head of Data Science for Amazon Lending.

Prior to his corporate roles, Maximilian was a Principal Economist at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C., where he focused on consumer and housing finance research, regulation, and surveys. He played a key role in launching important consumer financial well-being surveys during his tenure.
