Maxim Rakov is a Toronto-based integrated producer and membership director with a wealth of experience in marketing and communications. His career began at Leo Burnett, where he developed an interest in social marketing and corporate social responsibility, which led to leadership positions in global companies like PepsiCo, Avon, and Tetra Pak. He was responsible for managing marketing and corporate communications, digital campaigns, and social marketing. Additionally, Maxim was actively involved in planning and managing ground-breaking events with public and government officials, international business conferences, and media briefings across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia. Maxim is also passionate about online education and co-founded Brainwork Academy, an online platform aimed at helping entrepreneurs build their brand.
Throughout his career, Maxim has been involved in various social and environmental initiatives with international organizations such as Population Services International and the United Nations Development Programme. He spearheaded several campaigns reaching millions of people, including a public health campaign in partnership with local government and corporate donors, a waste management program and public awareness campaign, and a series of art exhibitions promoting responsible consumption.
Maxim holds a bachelor's degree and postgraduate certificates in digital marketing, project, and campaign management, and leadership from KIMEP University, the University of Toronto, Case Western Reserve University, and Erickson International. He has also held several positions in major organizations such as the American Marketing Association, ChizComm Ltd., Avon, and Leo Burnett.
