Max Reuben is a Philadelphia-born, Brooklyn-based playwright, director, and teacher known for creating big-hearted, humanistic theater that aims to alleviate existential despair and loneliness.
He has showcased his work in various venues ranging from Ars Nova to the Museum of Modern Art to unique spaces like a trendy apartment in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
In his teaching role, Max is dedicated to nurturing students, encouraging them to explore their individual voices, artistic styles, and creative processes to unlock their full artistic potential.

He has held leadership roles such as Area Head in Playwriting at Playwrights Horizons Theater School and has served as a Playwriting Teacher and Mentor at institutions like New York Stage and Film & Vassar College's Powerhouse Theater.
Additionally, he has experience as a First Year Playwriting Teacher at Playwrights Horizons Theater School and as a Theater Teacher at Uncommon Schools.
