Max Carter-Oberstone is a highly accomplished individual with a diversified background in law, finance, and public service.

Max holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School (Class of 2014) and an AB in Finance/French from Georgetown University.

With a strong legal foundation, Max has held prominent positions at reputable organizations, including Altshuler Berzon, San Francisco Police Commission, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, Policing Project, Death Penalty Focus, and the California Department of Justice.

Max's legal experience spans from serving as Associate Deputy Solicitor General at the California Department of Justice to being a Law Clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

Additionally, Max has contributed to the public sector as a Legislative Aide at the California State Senate and has financial expertise from his time as an Analyst and Associate at Credit Suisse First Boston.
