Mauricio Gomez

Mauricio Gomez is a highly skilled, creative and curious multidisciplinary engineer with a keen interest in startups, robotics and visualization—the art of making information accessible and engaging. He pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and then advanced to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Engineering at The University of New Mexico. Gomez's varied background includes experience working in mobile app development, human–computer interaction, car diagnostic tools, and 3D animation technologies, where he worked on several projects that expanded his knowledge in diverse technical fields.

He has been an innovative Technical Director at Walt Disney Animation Studios, a Software Engineer at companies like Groupon and GoDaddy. He has also been an angel investor and tech advisor at Bukue Inc where he is currently helping mentor junior engineers and teach startups as well. Gomez is passionate about startups and has an extensive background in technology and people management.

He is currently working at Uber's Advanced Technologies Group, where he is leveraging his considerable expertise in visualization to help advance the field of robotics.
