Mauricio Carneiro is an accomplished computational biologist and computer engineer with an impressive academic and professional background. He holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, and an MS in Cellular and Molecular Biology and a Ph.D. in Computational Biology from FIOCRUZ and Harvard University, respectively.

Throughout his career, Mauricio has held several leadership and technical positions. He is currently the Engineering Lead for Local Actions at Google, responsible for creating tools to help communities battle COVID-19.
