Throughout his career, Maurice has collaborated with top public and private sector energy companies, offering strategic advice across various energy segments such as oil, gas, power, and renewables. He specializes in guiding clients along the energy value chain, focusing on solutions to critical strategic challenges. Maurice is passionate about creating value by capitalizing on opportunities stemming from energy transition, digital advancements, and integrating the energy value chain effectively to benefit shareholders.
Aside from his professional endeavors, Maurice Berns is committed to fostering networking and professional growth within the energy industry. Prior to his tenure at Boston Consulting Group, Maurice gained experience working with an independent energy trader in Germany and spent significant time at Wintershall in Argentina. His roles there included oil and gas marketing, business development, and overseeing the planning and commercial execution of LPG and pipeline projects.
Maurice Berns holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, where he achieved the prestigious title of Palmer Scholar, placing in the top 5% of his class. He also graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and German, magna cum laude, from Duke University.
