Maureen Rector

Maureen Rector is a talented artist with proficiency in acrylic, watercolors, oil paint, textured mediums, and faux finishing. Her artistic endeavors have been showcased in high-end homes and businesses in various locations such as Reno, Lake Tahoe, Palm Springs (CA), and Grizzly Ranch Golf Resort (CA).

In addition to her artistic skills, Maureen's career journey has been diverse. She began her professional life in banking and Savings and Loans, eventually transitioning to a dispatcher role at Washoe County Sheriff's office in Incline Village, Lake Tahoe. She also served as the secretary for the Reno Livestock Events Center and later advanced to a position in Convention Sales at the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, where she eventually retired.

With a background in Criminal Justice and Art from the University of Nevada, Reno, and additional studies at Holy Cross, Maureen Rector brings a unique blend of knowledge and creativity to her work. She established 'Art d'Rector,' a successful faux painting business in 2002, through which she continues to create stunning art pieces for discerning clients in both residential and commercial settings.
