Matty Staudt is a veteran broadcaster and podcasting pioneer who founded Jam Street Media, a premium podcast company based in Los Angeles.13 He began his broadcasting career at age 16 in Keyser, West Virginia, and has since worked as an on-air host, morning show lead, and executive producer at several major radio stations.1
In 2007, Staudt transitioned to podcasting, becoming the first Director of Content at Stitcher.1 He later joined iHeartRadio as their first Vice President of Podcast Programming, where he developed over 300 podcasts and helped build what is now the world's largest podcast network.3
Staudt founded Jam Street Media in July 2019.2 The company produces hit podcasts such as "Appalachian Mysteria," "Deep Cover: The Real Donnie Brasco," and the Ambie-nominated "GOATS: On The Bump".24 Jam Street Media also provides consulting services to podcast networks, influencers, and companies.2
In addition to his work in the podcasting industry, Staudt is an educator. He launched one of the first university-level podcasting programs in the U.S. at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where he continues to teach and run the campus radio station.3 He also teaches at West Virginia University.3
