Mattijs Slee

Mattijs Slee is a well-rounded engineer with a passion for sustainable energy technologies. With a Master's degree in Hydraulic Engineering and a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD, he has extensive academic qualifications. He has worked on several large-scale energy projects in various countries worldwide during his tenure at Shell. Mattijs was responsible for pre-sanction development on one of the largest energy projects in Shell during his stint as a Development Manager. He has gone on to become an Investment Principal at Shell Ventures, where he was responsible for the advancement of technologies and disruptive business model innovations. He has held several portfolio company board positions during his time at Shell Ventures. Mattijs is currently the Commercial Head of Europe - Shell Hydrogen, leading efforts to build sustainable energy systems. He firmly believes that providing energy in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner is one of the biggest challenges facing the world currently.
