Matthijs de Groot

Matthijs de Groot is the co-director of Spinner & Langkous, along with Reinier Hamel, a company that designs colorful and layered experiences to help people see the world differently.

Spinner & Langkous focuses on creating various experiences such as exhibitions, city dressing, museum concepts, products, campaigns, and festivals, all aimed at making societal topics accessible, fun, and relevant.

Matthijs has a Master's degree from Leiden University and has been involved in various projects ranging from concept development for museums like the Belasting & Douane Museum to campaigns for organizations like Save the Children.

His current work involves concept development and repositioning for the Belasting & Douane Museum, campaigns for Save the Children, strategic relationship management for the Nederlands Literatuurmuseum, and developing exhibitions like Vissermannen & CollectieLab at Muzee Scheveningen.

Throughout his career, Matthijs has been engaged in strategic partnerships, concept development, and creative initiatives across multiple organizations and projects, showcasing his expertise in strategic planning and concept creation.
