Matthias Pfaff

Matthias Pfaff is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Playbook®, a role in which he leverages his extensive experience in technology and digital product development. He has a strong background in artificial intelligence and data analytics, having previously served as the Head of AI and Data Analytics at iteratec and as the Head of Department for Business Model & Service Engineering at Fortiss. His work has involved managing research and development teams, consulting on digital transformation, and building strategic partnerships across Europe.2

Pfaff holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich, where he focused on ontology-based semantic data integration. His academic contributions include lecturing and advising on theses, particularly in the fields of AI and data modeling.2 Additionally, he has been actively involved in mentoring young migrants in Germany, demonstrating his commitment to social causes alongside his professional endeavors.1
