Matthias Evers

Matthias Evers is a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, based in the Hamburg office, and is a co-leader of the Global Research & Development work in the Life Sciences practice.

With a background in biochemistry, Matthias focuses on creating business value in Research & Development by leading large-scale performance transformation and innovation programs.

His expertise includes designing and supporting full-scale Research & Development transformation programs, developing digital and analytics solutions for medical education, and enabling clients to excel in areas such as drug discovery and medical regulatory affairs.

Matthias Evers is passionate about leveraging science innovation to enhance patient care and regularly engages in activities to promote innovation and science leadership, including organizing medical affairs summits and speaking at prestigious science events like the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings and Global Biotech Revolution's GapSummit.

Outside of work, he is actively involved in the Chinese community in Hamburg and fosters collaboration between Germany and China, influenced by his wife's heritage and the cultural background of his children.

In his leisure time, Matthias enjoys traveling, cooking with family, bio-hacking, reading, playing the trumpet, and engaging in various sports.
