Matthew Snyder

Matthew Snyder is an experienced Engineering Manager currently working at CDOT since December 2016.

Before that, he held positions including Engineering Coordinator at the City of Chattanooga's Engineering Division in 2016, where he worked on public works projects.

From 2011 to 2016, he served in the City of Chattanooga's Waste Resources Division where he specialized as a Biosolids & Sewer Project Coordinator.

His professional journey began with an Engineering Intern role at K.U.B. Knoxville Utilities Board from 2009 to 2011.

Matthew has a diversified work history including roles at Americorps, Habitat for Humanity Knoxville; as a Surveyor, Engineer Assistant, and Estimator at Phillips & Jordan Inc.; and as a Surveyor and Engineer Assistant at McGill Associates.

During his time with Phillips & Jordan, he contributed to various projects such as airport constructions, manufacturing facility expansions, shopping centers, and park developments across different states.

Matthew's expertise spans Construction Staking, Topographic Surveys, Bid Take Off, GPS Surveying, and Grade Control Systems Technician using various software tools like AutoCAD and Agtek.

With McGill Associates, he worked on projects like Greenway Expansions, Water Tank Designs, and Utilities Expansions for multiple cities, showcasing his skills in Topographic & Boundary Surveys, Construction Staking, and GPS Surveying.

In terms of education, Matthew studied BS in Civil Engineering and BA in Urban Planning at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
