He has extensive experience in data analysis, best practices development, and successful startup operations, including through investments and a significant acquisition. Matthew has provided strategic digital consulting services to numerous publishers through Empirical Media and The Lenfest Institute, focusing on digital strategy and subscription models. He also played a key role in creating the Facebook Local Media Subscription Accelerator program in 2018. Beyond his work in journalism, Matthew has contributed to nonprofit organizations like The Future Project, serving on the board of directors and in operational roles.
