Matthew Simard

Matthew Simard is a Manager of Business Development and Sustainability focused on renewable energy and sustainable building practices. He holds a Diploma in Alternative Energy Technology and a Journeyman Electrician Certificate from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). With a diverse background ranging from running his own renewable energy consulting company to teaching renewable energy technologies at NAIT, Matthew possesses a wide array of skills to navigate construction industries.

In his role as the Business Development and Sustainability Manager at Wildstone Construction Group, Matthew works towards advancing current building practices and enhancing energy efficiency. His previous experiences include serving as the Project Development Manager at Clark Builders, a Sessional Instructor and Course Designer at NAIT, and a Co-Founder at SolBird Energy Ltd. He also has practical experience as an electrician at Great Canadian Solar.

With a foundation in both practical work and theoretical knowledge, Matthew is adept at understanding client needs, devising solutions, and facilitating effective communication within project teams and stakeholders.
