Matthew Rudolph

Matthew C. J. Rudolph is an instructor at Mills College, where he teaches International Business and Global Politics. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and has a strong academic background focused on South and East Asian politics, particularly concerning India, China, and their economic and security policies. His research interests include the political economy of finance and U.S. foreign policy towards Asia.
Rudolph has published work on various platforms, including the Economist Intelligence Unit, and has presented at numerous academic conferences. His current research involves a comparative analysis of financial systems in India and China, as well as studies on Indian grand strategy and the India-China rivalry in technology.12
In addition to his academic roles, he has experience working at the Stimson Center, where he contributed to studies on Confidence Building Measures in Asia. He is multilingual, speaking Hindi, Mandarin, and French, and has spent significant time conducting research in both India and China.1
