Matthew Rooda

Matthew Rooda is an accomplished business leader and entrepreneur with a background in genetics, biotechnology, finance, and marketing. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Enterprise Leadership, Sustainability, and Pre-Medicine from the University of Iowa, Rooda co-founded SwineTech, Inc. in 2015. His goal was to solve labor inefficiencies and pig mortalities within the pork industry. With his leadership and business development skills, SwineTech has raised more than $6 million in venture capital and now has a team of over 20 employees. As a result of his innovative strategies, Rooda has won numerous accolades, including the American Farm Bureau Entrepreneur of the Year, and was named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list in the category Manufacturing and Industry in 2018. He is currently an MBA candidate in Finance and Marketing at The Johns Hopkins University, Carey Business School. Rooda is a forward-thinking individual, and his skills in communication and futurism make him an asset in any team.
