Advanced Manufacturing Laboratory Program Manager National Alliance for Water Innovation - Partnership Director
Matthew Ringer is the Partnerships Director for the National Alliance for Water Innovation (NAWI) at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). In this role, he oversees collaborative efforts aimed at improving water supply technologies and enhancing access to clean water across the United States. Ringer is also the Laboratory Program Manager for Advanced Manufacturing at NREL, where he manages a portfolio of research projects funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Manufacturing Office.
Ringer's responsibilities include engaging with industry partners and academic institutions to leverage NREL's capabilities in advancing innovative energy technologies. He has played a significant role in NAWI's initiatives, which focus on developing cost-effective and energy-efficient water purification technologies, particularly those that can transform nontraditional water sources into safe drinking water.123 Under his leadership, NAWI has expanded its network to over 460 organizations and 1,800 members globally, working towards sustainable solutions for water challenges exacerbated by climate change and population growth.2
