Matthew Proto

Matthew Proto is a recent graduate from Rutgers Business School - New Brunswick with a degree in Accounting. He is actively preparing for the Uniform CPA Exams and currently works as a Tax Associate at RSM in the Financial Services group located at their Metro Park office. Matthew's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Rutgers Business School. Prior to this, he pursued an Associate of Arts degree in Business/Commerce from Middlesex County College, where he maintained a GPA of 3.53.

During his career, Matthew has gained experience in various roles. He served as a Tax Intern at Withum, a Tax Accounting & Compliance Intern at AXA US, an Accounting Intern at Angelo & Associates CPAs, as well as working in customer-facing positions as a Server at La Madona Italian Cuisine and as a Lifeguard at Sparkling Pool Services, Inc. Matthew's current role as a Tax Associate at RSM US LLP allows him to apply his knowledge and skills within the financial services sector.

Beyond his professional commitments, Matthew enjoys activities such as playing golf, watching Netflix, and staying active through workouts. He showcases a strong dedication to his work, academic pursuits, and personal interests, demonstrating an ability to effectively balance multiple responsibilities.
