Matthew O'Banion

Matthew O'Banion has an impressive background that reflects his technical expertise in fields as varied as software engineering, controls engineering, and mechanical engineering. He graduated from Palomar College and has since held positions such as Associate Director of Manufacturing Engineering at Thermo Fisher Scientific and Engineer II at Invitrogen. His leadership abilities shone in his efforts to scale up automation and processes to meet the rising demand during the COVID pandemic. He oversaw the large-scale filling, capping, and packaging automation, which produced over 12 million units per week. His software engineering skills are not restricted to just a few applications. Matthew is conversant with programming languages like Visual Studio, C, C#, VB 6, VB.net, VBA, and OOP, among others. His expertise in database architecture is demonstrated while working with SQL Server, Oracle, Rational Database, and more. He has a solid background in controls engineering, evident in his knowledge of PLC and Ethernet systems. In addition, he is an excellent mechanical engineer, capable of taking a project from design to fabrication and welding.
