Matthew McGovern, a highly-experienced Senior Technical Program Manager, has been driving significant global government infrastructure expansion in existing and new regions throughout his tenure at Amazon Web Services (AWS). With a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the prestigious University of Virginia, his expertise is evident in his impressive background, well-rounded both in the private and public sectors.

Before AWS, McGovern served in numerous managerial positions at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) and NAVAIR, where he worked as an Aerospace Engineer, formulated and executed program objectives, and managed technical teams. He also worked for Smithsonian Institution as an Engineering Assistant before becoming a Teaching Assistant at his Alma Mater.
