Matthew Laye, PhD, is an esteemed Assistant Professor and Chair of the Health and Human Performance Department at The College of Idaho. With a background in biomedical sciences, Laye specializes in molecular biology techniques and working with large datasets in various scientific disciplines and clinical research settings. He has a strong record of securing external funding, publishing research papers, and communicating science with the public. Laye's current research focuses on cohort studies and clinical trials to examine effective exercise interventions that improve metabolism.
