Matt Hartman is an accomplished technology professional and investor with a deep expertise in consumer applications of Web 3 and NoCode creativity tools. He is currently serving as a partner at Betaworks Ventures, where he is focused on investing in and building technology tools that can revolutionize what it means to create.
Prior to his current role, Hartman was the Director of Seed Investments at betaworks and the founder of ReferBoost, a real estate tech platform licensed to Apartments.com. He also worked at Hot Potato, a social media company that was acquired by Facebook. Earlier in his career, Hartman built the technology platform for CBRE and worked on digital image protection, for which he was granted Patent #8189781.
Hartman has studied cognitive science and computational cognition at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned his BA, and earned an MBA in marketing and entrepreneurship and a Masters of Engineering Management in Systems Design from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
