    Matthew Cross is a seasoned executive with a rich background in operating, investing, and leadership roles spanning 15 years across diverse industries and markets.

    Currently serving as the Managing Director at Kensington Capital Partners Limited, a prominent Canadian alternative asset manager focusing on venture, growth, and buyout investments throughout North America.

    Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the BC Tech Fund and serving as a Board Director or Observer for several Kensington portfolio companies including Mint Smartwash, White Swan Environmental, Horseshoe Power, GridPoint, and Walt's Meats.

    Previously, Matthew held the position of Vice President and played a pivotal role in the investment transaction team at Parallel49 Equity, a lower middle-market private equity firm based in Vancouver, BC.

    During his tenure at Parallel49 Equity, he also served as a board observer for Avison Young, Certified Recycling, Questco, and Tiger Calcium.

    Before joining Parallel49, Matthew worked with technology sector clients at Deloitte Consulting's strategy practice in San Francisco and held various positions in both Canada and Norway at Teekay Corporation, a leading global marine services provider to the oil and gas industry.

    Matthew's educational background includes an MBA from Harvard Business School, an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University where he graduated with Distinction and received the Bob Britney HBA Prize in Operations Management, and a BA in Sociology from Queen's University.

    He completed his high school education at Collingwood School.
