Matthew Cooke is one of the co-founders of Unruly, a video advertising technology company.12 He served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Unruly from its inception in 2006 until late 2017.14 Cooke, along with fellow co-founders Sarah Wood and Scott Button, built Unruly from a three-person startup in Shoreditch to an international company specializing in video distribution and analytics.2
During his tenure at Unruly, Cooke was responsible for overseeing the company's technology development, infrastructure, and development team.2 He played a crucial role in creating Unruly's unique data sets and analytics capabilities, which tracked video sharing and virality from the company's early days.2
In October 2017, Cooke stepped down from his full-time executive position at Unruly, transitioning to an advisory role on the Unruly Board.14 This move came almost exactly two years after Unruly was acquired by News Corp in 2015.4
Prior to co-founding Unruly, Cooke worked as a Systems Architect at Connextra.5 He received his education from the University of Kent at Canterbury.3
