Matthew De Re

Matthew C De Re is an accomplished attorney with a versatile litigation practice that includes representing both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts throughout the United States. His areas of specialty include class action, corporate, commercial, consumer fraud, general civil, product liability, personal injury, and other complex cases. Additionally, he provides representation for various professionals such as physicians, dentists, nurses, insurance producers, and real estate brokers in front of regulatory agencies. Alongside his thriving litigation practice, Mr. De Re helps individuals and corporations with transactional matters.

Mr. De Re graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison before earning his Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis. As a law student, he consistently made the Dean's List and received various academic awards. Mr. De Re was also an Executive Board member of the Student Bar Association, and the Associate Managing Editor of the Washington University Journal of Law & Policy.

Prior to joining Zimmerman Law Offices, P.C., Mr. De Re was a law clerk for the Circuit Court of Cook County, where he developed extensive knowledge of litigation processes from discovery through motion practice. He has since successfully defended individuals and corporations in cases involving personal injury, employment, and civil rights, while also advocating for plaintiffs in numerous civil matters.

In addition to being licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, Mr. De Re is an active member of both the Illinois State and Chicago Bar Associations.
