With over 25 years of expertise, he specializes in advising high-growth technology and life sciences companies, investment funds, and stakeholders on a wide array of strategic matters.

He has a strong background in venture capital and growth equity financings, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate governance issues, with a focus on transactions exceeding $100 billion globally.

Matthew has played pivotal roles in establishing Cooley's presence in key regions such as Singapore and Latin America, and is involved in the launch of Cooley's Miami office.

He is currently based in San Francisco/Silicon Valley, serving clients worldwide and upholding Cooley's reputation as a top-ranked firm for venture capital deals.

Matthew Bartus holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. in English from Syracuse University, showcasing his strong educational background.
