Matthew Gunnin is a highly accomplished entrepreneur and industry expert in the field of esports. With a passion for gaming and problem-solving, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey at a young age, successfully selling his first company when he was just 15 years old. Armed with an engineering background, he later identified an emerging opportunity in esports and launched Leaguepedia, a community-driven esports website that rapidly gained popularity, attracting over 10 million monthly users within six months. After selling Leaguepedia, Matthew joined Curse, where he continued to build the company's esports division.

In 2014, recognizing the potential in the streaming industry, Matthew joined Azubu as part of their management team. He led the overhaul and rebuilding of their Content, Product, and Marketing divisions, as well as the launch of Esportspedia, an unrivaled resource for all things esports. With Matthew's contribution, Esportspedia became a major contributor to Azubu's user base, with 60% of their users coming from the platform.

Seeking new challenges and opportunities, Matthew joined Unikrn in the role of VP of Product. At Unikrn, he gained invaluable insights into the esports market and further solidified his expertise in the industry. Eager to turn his ideas into reality, Matthew applied to various startup programs and found a home at Quake Capital where he began developing Esports One, a groundbreaking Fantasy Esports platform. This innovative platform utilizes real-time computer vision and years of data insights to enhance the esports viewing experience. Esports One is on track to support hundreds of thousands of users by the end of 2020, with plans to launch their vision for the future of esports viewing in early 2021.
