Matteo Franceschetti is a prominent entrepreneur known for his role as the Co-Founder and CEO of Eight Sleep, a company that focuses on enhancing sleep performance through innovative technology. He has a background as an athlete, which inspired him to explore ways to improve sleep and recovery. Under his leadership, Eight Sleep has developed a proprietary product called the Pod, designed to monitor and optimize sleep through advanced biometrics. The company has gained recognition for its contributions to sleep technology, being named one of Fast Company's "Most Innovative Companies" and TIME's "Best Inventions" in 2018 and 2019. To date, Eight Sleep has raised significant funding from notable investors, including Founders Fund and Y Combinator.12

In addition to his work at Eight Sleep, Franceschetti has held various leadership positions, including as an official member of the Forbes Technology Council and a mentor at TechStars. His previous ventures include co-founding GIR, a solar energy company, and Global Investment, which developed utility-scale solar plants in Europe.23

Franceschetti's educational background includes a law degree from the Università degli Studi di Ferrara, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and he has also participated in the Y Combinator startup accelerator program.2

Currently, he is also associated with Casavo, where he serves as Vice President and City Manager, overseeing operations and strategic initiatives in the real estate sector.4
