Matt Taibbi is an American journalist and author known for his hard-hitting investigative pieces and commentary on politics, finance, and the media. He began his career as a music journalist, writing for publications like Rolling Stone, before eventually transitioning to political reporting. Taibbi is perhaps best known for his coverage of economic inequality and corporate malfeasance, including his 2010 book "Griftopia: Bubble Machines, Vampire Squids, and the Long Con That is Breaking America." He has written for a variety of publications over the years, including The Nation, The Guardian, and The New Republic. Taibbi is also a co-founder of the investigative news website, The Intercept.
