Matt Stanley is a seasoned professional with over 18 years of international experience in sustainability, climate, strategy, innovation, and venture investing, having worked with renowned organizations like BDC Capital, IKEA, EY & Deloitte.

He holds a Masters in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge (UK) and a Bachelor's degree in Economics & International Business from Mount Allison University (CA).

Matt is a dedicated changemaker with a deep generalist approach and strong leadership and communication skills. He is committed to creating a better future by leveraging emerging climate technologies, resource-efficient business models, and novel partnerships.

As an active outdoor enthusiast and a father of two young boys, Matt Stanley is passionate about building strong relationships, connecting people, communities, and ideas to drive meaningful impact.

He has held various key positions in organizations such as being a Founder at SOMEWORKS, an Investment Director at BDC's ClimateTech Fund, a Manager at IKEA Group and EY, and a Consultant at Deloitte Canada, among others.

Matt has also served on the boards and strategic committees of multiple companies including GIT, Giatec, Intelligent City, Mara Renewables Corporation, Ekona Power, FREDsense Technologies, e-Zinc, AlumaPower Corporation, and CDL-Atlantic: Oceans.

His professional journey includes managing global sustainability projects, leading ClimateTech venture investments, and collaborating with senior leaders and entrepreneurs to address the challenges and opportunities in creating a sustainable and affordable tomorrow.
