Matt Rinka is the founder and partner of RINKA, an architectural firm based in Milwaukee.1 Since founding RINKA in 2006, Rinka has grown the firm from a one-person operation to a team of 46 employees, and opened a second office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2022.1 Rinka's LinkedIn username is matt-rinka-8721817.3
Rinka's architectural work includes several iconic buildings in the Milwaukee area, such as The Moderne and The Couture residential towers, the R1VER Development, and the Milwaukee Bucks’ Deer District.1
Rinka was born in Seoul, South Korea, and was adopted at the age of 5 by Jon and Michele Rinka, who raised him in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.2 He received a bachelor’s degree in architectural studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1996 and a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Washington in 2000.23
Before starting RINKA, Rinka worked for Kahler Slater Architects Inc. for nine years, with some time spent at Callison Architecture Inc. in Seattle and daSILVA Architects in New York City.32
