Matt Porter
Passionate about telling stories that matter
Matt Porter is a Communications Officer at the JFK Library Foundation where he manages communications and publicity for Library events and activities.
Before his current role, Matt worked as the Capitol Bureau Chief at WCIA-TV in Springfield, Illinois, and gained over five years of experience in broadcasting at WBNG-TV in Binghamton, New York, and WATD-FM in Massachusetts.
Matt spent a year in Turkey as a Fulbright Fellow teaching English in Kayseri before entering the broadcast journalism field.
He holds a Master's in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Theatre Arts from Boston College.
Matt has been involved in various organizations and roles such as Adjunct Professor at Boston College, Associate Director for Communications, and Communications Manager at the JFK Library Foundation.
He also co-founded the Kevin C. Kynock Foundation for the Arts and has experience in multimedia journalism, teaching, research, and reporting through various internships and positions.
