Matt Murphy

Matt Murphy is a partner at Menlo Ventures, where he focuses on investments in AI infrastructure, SaaS, and robotics. He has been with Menlo Ventures since 2015 and has led investments in various companies, including Cleanlab, which recently raised $25 million in Series A funding. In this capacity, Murphy has joined the board of Cleanlab, a startup that specializes in automated data curation to enhance the reliability of enterprise data used in AI and analytics.123

Prior to his role at Menlo Ventures, Murphy was a general partner at Kleiner Perkins for over 15 years, where he was involved in significant investments, including those in DocuSign and Shazam. He has a background in electrical engineering and holds an MBA from Stanford University. Additionally, he serves on the boards of several companies, including Egnyte and Datastax.23
