Matt Mercurio is a versatile geospatial technology professional with a rich background in non-profits, local government, and the business sector.
Having been described as an "ideas person," Matt brings innovative problem-solving skills and ideas honed from his experiences in GIS and geospatial data management.
In 2015, he co-founded two geospatial technology companies and currently serves as the Geospatial Technology Officer (GTO) at both, offering GTO services to various companies and organizations seeking geospatial tools and data expertise for enhanced business productivity.
His ongoing projects involve developing high-accuracy geodata from non-traditional sources like drones, implementing geospatial technologies for next-generation 911 compliance, and delivering geodata management and development services to non-profits and civic organizations.
Matt Mercurio pursued a Bachelor of Science in Geoscience at Penn State University and a Master of Science in Geology at Ball State University.
