Matt Kennedy is a business founder with a passion for direct-to-consumer (D2C) initiatives and a strong belief in using business as a force for good. Originally trained as a Surveyor, he transitioned from constructing buildings to creating and growing brands. With a background in Marketing, Matt has contributed to the success of well-known British brands in competitive markets. He founded a sustainable Japanese Sake brand that was eventually acquired by a reputable European Sushi chain. Currently, he leads Fussy, a company dedicated to eliminating single-use plastic from bathrooms.
Education wise, Matt studied Advertising and Entrepreneurship at the School of Communication Arts 2.0. He also delved into Building Design, Architecture, and the Built Environment at the University of Bristol. His academic journey includes achieving A-Levels in Product Design, Maths, and Physics from Heart-of-England Comprehensive.
Throughout his career, Matt Kennedy has held various roles in different organizations. He served as a Mentor at Virgin StartUp, founded and led Fussy, created For Goodness Sake, worked as a Senior Creative at Grey London, contributed as a Creative at Mother and Lucky Generals, and previously held positions as a Senior Consultant and Surveyor at various establishments.
