Matthew Whitmore

Matt Jacob Whitmore is a graduate student at Northwestern University pursuing an MBA at the Kellogg School of Management. He has a strong background in corporate development, strategy, and finance with extensive experience in lower-middle market acquisitions.

Prior to Kellogg, Matt worked as a Development Associate at Encompass Health, where he was directly involved in various aspects of corporate strategy, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. He specialized in opportunity sourcing, due diligence, financial modeling, FP&A, valuation, transaction structure, deal management/negotiation, and general project support. His analytical abilities were instrumental in guiding strategic decisions.

During his time at Encompass Health, Matt actively participated in over 40 lower-middle market acquisitions, amounting to more than $700 million in invested capital, showcasing over $1 billion in underwriting expertise.
