Matt Irish is an accomplished professional with an extensive academic background and diverse work experience in the field of engineering and energy.
He completed his education at the University of Michigan, earning dual degrees with the highest honors in Applied Climate and Electrical & Computer Engineering, along with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Climate Impact Engineering.
Matt also studied at Semester at Sea program at the University of Virginia, Oakland University, and Macomb Community College.
With a wealth of experience, Matt currently serves as the Director of Energy Storage Strategy at Our Next Energy (ONE). Previously, he held positions such as Research Engineer and Graduate Intern at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, EDF Climate Corps/HUD Energy Management Fellow at the Environmental Defense Fund, and Power Systems Tech Engineering Intern at DTE Energy.
